Guide for print shops
A customer file upload portal for printers
Files arrive by email, by download link, on a USB stick and as “the final one, really this time”. Each one has to be saved, renamed and matched to a job by hand.
How it works in Drapress
Uploads that land on the job
The customer uploads files from their portal account at your shop, and each file lands on the right customer and job. Large print PDFs are supported, and an upload that was interrupted is shown as such — not as a missing file.
Pages arranged before the proof
Pages can be replaced and arranged on a page board, with rotation, splitting spreads, mirror bleed and scaling, so the proof is built from the right pages in the right order.
The check and the proof follow
Uploaded files go through the file check and into a proof shaped like the product, and the customer approves in the same place.
Saved for the next order
Designs stay on the customer card, by product. Next time the customer orders from a saved design instead of sending the file again.
What it does not do
Customers upload from an account you invite them to, or from a link to send files that you create — even without signing up. The portal does not take payment for printing — that stays directly between your shop and the customer.
