Guide to digital editions
A flipbook with clickable links
A flipbook that only turns pages is a picture of a PDF. What makes it useful is that the links and the ads still work — and that you control which ones readers see.
How it works in Drapress
What is found automatically
Link annotations already in the PDF, web addresses and email addresses written as text, and phone numbers written with their country code. Words inside picture ads can be read in your browser and suggested too.
You approve every link
Everything found is a suggestion. You accept it, edit it, delete it or draw a new spot by hand, and only accepted spots are shown to readers.
What a reader can tap
A web address, a phone call, WhatsApp, directions or an email. Each link is checked against the shape built for its kind before it is shown.
Taps and pages counted, readers not tracked
Each tap adds one to a daily total for that spot, and each page shown in a visit adds one to that page’s total. No cookie and no identifier are used, and the IP address is not stored.
What it does not do
Video and audio embedded in the PDF are not played in the edition, and phone numbers without a country code are not detected automatically — add them by hand.
