Guide to digital editions
A digital magazine platform built from your print PDF
A magazine PDF attached to an email is heavy, hard to read on a phone and dead for advertisers: nobody can tap an ad, and nobody knows whether anyone did. A digital edition fixes the reading and the ads without redesigning the issue.
How it works in Drapress
The same file, online
Upload the issue’s PDF from your publisher account — or publish from your account at your print shop once the issue is approved for print. The pages are not redesigned.
Made for reading on a phone
One page on a phone, a spread on a wide screen, with page turns and a page-turn sound readers can mute. The link carries the magazine’s name and the issue.
Ads that do something
Links in the PDF and addresses printed in the ads are offered as clickable spots; you accept, edit or draw them. A reader taps and reaches the advertiser’s website, phone, email or directions.
Numbers for your advertisers
Daily totals of opens and of visits to each page — with the most viewed pages — and, depending on the plan, of taps on each ad, in a report you can print or copy for each advertiser. Every issue also gets a short video to share.
What it does not do
There is no reader app, no paywall or subscription for readers, and editions are not listed in search results. Readers cannot download the print file. Several magazines in one account come with the House plan.
